Born December 4, 1942, in Lynchburg, he was a son of the late Norman and Blanche Reynolds Neighbors. He was also preceded in death by a brother.
Mr. Neighbors was the retired owner and operator of Ralph’s Heating and Cooling.
Survivors include three sons, Phillip Allen Neighbors, of Rustburg, David Neighbors and wife Gwen, of Amherst, and Ralph Dewayne Neighbors and wife Jennifer, of Concord; a sister, Annette Faye Adams and husband Ricky, of Amherst; his companion, Linda Tuck; former wife, Linda Gayle Neighbors, both of Rustburg, one sister, four brothers, 9 grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, November 21, 2012, at Whitten Park Avenue Chapel.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, November 23, 2012, at Spring Hill Cemetery.
