Raul Aguirre Arellano, known as “Franky” or “El Vidrios”, a beloved resident of Lynchburg, Virginia, passed away on January 23, 2024, at the age of 62. He was born on October 15, 1961, in Mexico, to parents Jesus Aguirre Garcia and Liduvina Arellano Bravo. Raul was a loving husband to Teresa Aguirre, and together they created a life filled with love and joy. He was a devoted father to his daughters, Vanessa Gomez, Veronica Aguirre, Viviana Aguirre, and Maritza Aguirre. Raul cherished family above all else, and he leaves behind a legacy of love that will be remembered by his eleven grandchildren. Born in Mexico, Raul brought his rich cultural heritage to Lynchburg, where he became a cherished member of the community. He was known for his warm and friendly nature, always extending a welcoming hand to everyone he met. Raul had a passion for cooking and grilling outdoors, especially relishing the art of preparing ribs and carne-asada. His love for micheladas added a flavorful touch to his social gatherings. Raul found joy in the simple pleasures of life, from yard work and landscaping to exploring yard sales and flea markets. He enjoyed the outdoors, often seen driving his truck and spending time in nature. With a silly sense of humor and a knack for making others laugh, Raul was a social butterfly who cherished every moment spent with friends and family. An early riser, Raul embraced each day with enthusiasm and positivity. His love for dancing and the beach reflected his vibrant spirit and zest for life. A visitation in memory of Raul Aguirre Arellano will be held at Whitten Timberlake Chapel on Timberlake Road in Lynchburg on Wednesday, January 31, 2024, from 4 pm to 9 pm. A Holy Mass to celebrate his life will be held on Thursday, February 1, 2024, at 2 pm at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 710 Clay Street, in Lynchburg, followed by burial at Fort Hill Memorial Cemetery on Fort Ave in Lynchburg. Whitten Timberlake Chapel is assisting the family during this difficult time.
