Robert Franklin Chambers Sr.

Robert Franklin Chambers, Sr., 65, of Rustburg, went to be with the Lord, Tuesday, September 20, 2011 at his residence. He was the husband of Violet Suddith Chambers. Born May 8, 1945 in Jonestown, MD, he was the son of the late John Russell and Violet Marie Wolf Chambers. Mr. Chambers was retired from Marvin Templeton & Sons and was a member of Jubilee Baptist Church. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Johnny Chambers and Bobby Chambers, Jr.; four daughters, Christina Bloom and husband, Jim, Michelle Axe and husband, Dusty, Rachel Lefever and husband, Bobby, and Renae Jones and husband, Jay; two brothers, Jay Chambers and wife, Kathy and Jim Chambers and wife, Charlotte, all of Pennsylvania; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two God children, Andy Childress and Mandy Ford; three nephews, five great-nephews; six nieces and one great-great-nephew, Dakota Chambers. A celebration of Bob’s life will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, September 24, 2011 at Jubilee Baptist Church with the Rev. Roger Childress officiating. The family will receive friends at the residence on Friday, September 23, 2011. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alan Pearson Cancer Center.
