Ronald “Ronnie” Benjamin Franklin, 82, of Lynchburg, passed away Saturday, February 6, 2020 at his residence. He was the loving and devoted husband of the late Maryleen Jennings Franklin.

Born April 6, 1938 in Lynchburg, he was the son of the late Thomas Jefferson Franklin, Sr. and Edith Williams Franklin and was also preceded in death by four brothers, Bill, Jim, Tommy, and Lewis Franklin and two sisters, Betty Bryant and Sarah Roberts. He was a retired, self-employed, and extremely gifted Brick Mason.

Ronnie is survived by three daughters, Sonya F. Stanley, Sherry F. Ridenour and husband Dennis, and Shirley F. Cofflin; six grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.

The family will hold a Celebration of Life service at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Campbell Avenue Baptist Church.

Whitten Funeral Homes & Cremation Service, Park Avenue Chapel is serving the family.
