

Born in Radford, she was the daughter of the late Brainard Gideon Martin and the late Mary Booth Martin. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Robert B. Martin and one sister, Louise M. Cox.
Ruth Anne was active in many roles in the Fort Hill United Methodist Church and was the office manager for her husband in the Williams Oil Co. for many years. She was also a member of the Shrine Nobelets. Most of all, though, she was a wonderful mother to her two boys and a great wife to her husband, Andy.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Jon E. Williams of Norfolk and Stephen M. Williams and his wife, Susan, of Amherst and two granddogs.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 9, 2011, at Fort Hill United Methodist Church by the Rev. Philip M. Waltz and the Rev. Janet D. Hawkins. Interment will follow in Fort Hill Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 9, 2011, at the Fort Hill United Methodist Church.
