Born on February 26, 1922 in New York, NY, she was the daughter of the late Robert Peter Jensen and Hilma Nelson Jenson.
Ruth was a commercial artist and a girl scout leader. She was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church.
In addition to her parents and husbands, she is preceded in death by a son, Raymond Uttal.
She is survived by her daughter, Valerie U. Callahan and husband Albert of Evington; grandchildren, Kimberly Callahan and Eric Callahan; and great grandchildren, Jasmine Davies and Robert Davies.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 18, 2014 at 1 pm at Whitten Timberlake Chapel with Rev. Vernie Barrow, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow at Spring Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service starting at noon.
