
Born January 23, 1951, in Lynchburg, he was a son of the late Harvey D. Elliott Sr. and Scotty Faulconer Elliott. He was a 1969 honors graduate of E.C. Glass High School and a 1973 honors graduate of the University of Virginia with a dual degree in psychology and commerce.
Jeff was employed by the City of Lynchburg as a social worker. He was a member of Edward N. Eubank Masonic Lodge # 262 AF&AM, 32nd degree Scottish Rite Mason, of the Lynchburg Scottish Rite Kazim Temple, Roanoke, the Lynchburg Shrine Club, and a former member of Lynchburg-Bedford Clown Unit, and Ivy Hills Golf Club.
Jeff is survived by his son, Charles Elliott, of Campbell County; daughter, Kristin Elliott Dunn, of Lynchburg; brother, Harvey D. "Rusty" Elliott Jr. and wife, Sharon, of Lynchburg; two half-sisters, Ethel Rew and Jean Baynes, both of Leesburg, Fla.; six grandchildren, Sage Pedro, Forrest, Reid, Brynna, Brylee and Jaxon Elliott; and nephew, Harvey Douglas Elliott III and wife, Sarah.
A Masonic service will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2011, at Whitten Timberlake Chapel. The family will receive friends after the service.
A private interment will be held at Fort Hill Memorial Park.
Jeff will be remembered for his generosity and will live on in the hearts of the many friends he made during his life.
