I’ve known and worked with Jeff for many years. He was always friendly and supportive to everyone he met.  He was a man of rare good conscience and the warmth of his personality graced all who knew him. I’ve still not completely absorbed the shock of his sudden loss.  Even in this sad time, I still remember the laughter and good times we had and feel blessed for the good fortune of having known him.  My prayers and deepest sympathy go out to his family and friends.

Rusty and family, I was saddened to hear of Jeff's passing.  Your family has always been dear to me and my family.  I enjoyed when I would run into Jeff and had fun talking to him.  He could always make me laugh and we would talk about our wonderful mothers.

I would just like to give out my deep sorrow to the family. I am a close friend of Scott's daughter, Kristin. I would like to let the family know how sorry I am for their loss. To the Elliott Family-
I am so sorry for your loss. Although it has been many years since I saw Jeff, I remember clearly what a great person he was and how much he loved you all.

Rusty & family - David and I were shocked to hear of Jeff's passing.  We will always remember how kind, sincere, loving, and jovial he was.  We recall so many fun times with Jeff when he and David were in the 'Clown Unit' together (years ago)...we will miss Jeff.  Sadly, we missed the Memorial Service due to stomach virus going through the family.  We will be praying for the Elliott Family during this time.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Jeff's family. His work impacted the lives of many children and it was always a pleasure to work with Jeff. He will be greatly missed by all of the staff at Centra Child Care. Much love to his family.

Jeff was a wonderful person. He was always friendly and loved to talked. He would carry on a conversation with you for hours at a time. He loved his family so much, I knew this by the way he talked about them everyday. I still can't beleive he is gone. He will greatly be missed. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family.

I knew Jeff from working with him at Lynchburg Social Services many years ago and I enjoyed his antimated calls to the MorningLine on our radio station.. I never heard him say an unkind word about anyone. He was always eager to help when and where he could. He loved his family and talked about you with a smile on his face and in his heart. We knew "Sage's Grandfather" from Lynchburg Little League.  He really enjoyed watching the boys play baseball and would even ask about how "Vegas" was doing when his Little League days were over.  He was a very special and caring gentleman.  Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

I know all too well how hard the loss of a parent is and you and your family are in my thoughts. The one thing I remember most about your Dad is just how much he loved you, Charles, Jean, Sage and all of his grandchildren.  Please take care.

I worked with Jeff at SocialServies back in the seventies and eighties. Jeff was a true virginia gentlemen and I never heard him say a harsh word about any one. His children and grandchildren will really miss him not to mention admirers of Jeff like me. I enjoyed always seeing him and talking with him. He knew something about everything. I would be there to pay my respects, but I just had eye surgery.

Jeff has been a pillar of the Department of Social Services.  He was quick to thank folks for the work that they had done.  And he always made me laugh. I was so sorry to hear of Jeff's passing.  He was such a jolly person.  He always had something nice to say and was always friendly and willing to help out however he could.  I have many memories and experiences that go back 30 years or so -  always pleasant.  He will be missed greatly.

My prayers & sympathy are with all of Jeff's family. Jeff had a positive & cheerfull greeting whenever you saw him. He shared so many witty stories, and his love & pride for his family was obvious . I will always remember the fun talks we had and will miss running into him everyday at work.

I worked with Jeff for several years in the 1990s.  What I most remember about him was his tremendous sense of humor.  No day was a bad day with Jeff around.  He was a gem and will be missed.
