I remember Shelby vividly. Her brother Joe Rice worked for us . At one our events years past the band was o no show . Shelby did came in as our savior DJ.

Amist guests and party party entertainment: I had the chance to say hi and thanked her for being there with her equipment and cheerful music. Her beautiful smile and uplifting personality will remain in my memories forever. RIP

I am so sorry for the loss of Shelby. We all hung out in our younger years, and I have so many fun and special memories of her. We would leave class at CVCC and head to Ground Round. So many good times were had there, especially the nights the band was playing. Her musical talent was amazing and I will always remember her singing the Dog and the Butterly, her voice was incredible, and oh how she loved Carol King. We would also hang out at Ned Hudson’s cabin and they would play drums and of course wash their TR6”s in the yard. All my memories of all those years include her and I am so thankful for those and our friendship, what a beautiful soul. I can see her sitting at the bar with a beer talking to Frank her buddy and belting that beautiful voice out. I consider myself blessed to have been part of her life those years. God bless.

I have nothing but fond memories of a good friend and much laughter when I think of Shelby. The miles had separated us over the years since the 80s, but I will always remember our laughs. Rest in peace, and condolences to your family and friends.

Rita & Joey, so sorry for your loss!

Shelby was a dear friend. She was like having a big bright umbrella always close at hand on life's gray days.

There's a ribbon of memories stretching out between us that will never go away.

Rita, Joey and family. When I think of Shelby I see her smile and hear her laugh. I remember the old days of listening to her play drums in several bands and cruising around in her yellow Triumph. She sang and played guitar at my wedding. She’s a part of a lot of my happy memories. I will miss her. My prayers are with the family.
