Sophie was full of life and made wonderful memories for her family. She liked quilting, cooking good country food, and also loved Dr. Pepper! Loved watching David Jeremiah on TV and Youtube. Very handy around the home like fixing mowers, gardening, and or anything that needed fixing or repairing. Very independent and loved to be active. Sophie really loved her family and was always wanting to feed you when you came into the house. She loved and gave alot to her family often times at the expense of her needs.
Sophie has left her love and memories for her daughters, Jacqueline Owens, Rita Mattox (Keith), Rebecca Brokaw (Paul), and Michelle Henley (Don). She also left memories for lots of brothers and sisters. She leaves her love and memories for her 10 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
Sophie is preceded in death by her parents, Linza and Madeline Breeding. Also, preceded in death by her husband, Squire Johnson. Also, preceded her is several brothers and a sister.
A Graveside service will be held on Monday, November 20, 2023 at 2:30 pm at Virginia Memorial Park in Forest VA. Service is officiated by Pastor Donald Henley Jr.
