Born in Evington, July 4, 1924, he was the son of the late Robert Henry Dudley and Ella Ora Kidd Dudley. Tennis was a US Navy veteran and proudly served on the USS Hornet during WWII. He began his career with the Lane Company and retired from the Winebarger Corp. Following retirement, he continued to work for a number of years and was well known as a very skilled and accomplished furniture refinisher and restorer. He was a member of the American Legion Post 16 and was a lifelong member of Evington United Methodist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Delores D. Daniel.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Ella Jane Dudley; his son-in-law, Lawrence Daniel; his grandson, Eddie Cook and his wife Danielle and two great grandchildren, Abigail Marie Cook and Jacob Edward Cook.
The family would like to thank special friend Martha Dudley for the care and assistance she has provided to Tennis and Helen.
A graveside service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, December 9, 2021 at Evington United Methodist Church Cemetery with military honors by the American Legion Post 16.
