Teresa Sowell Brooks

Teresa was born on September 3, 1957 in Lynchburg, Virginia, a daughter of the late Ruth B. and Alexander “Buddy” Sowell. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Michael Sowell. She was a kind-hearted lady and will be missed by many family and friends.

Along with her husband Terry, Teresa is survived by her son, Terry Raymond Brooks; her two sisters: Sylvia Woody, and her husband Tommy, and Brenda Roberts, and her husband Jerry; her two brothers: Alex T. “AT” Sowell, Jr., and Gary Eugene Sowell, and his wife Barbara; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be conducted on Wednesday, November 10, 2010 at 10:00 AM at Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Monty Fox officiating. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 9, 2010 from 7:00 to 8:30 pm at Whitten Timberlake Chapel and other times at the home of her late mother.
