Thelma Flowers Baber

She was born in Campbell County, the daughter of the late Rev. Otis T. Flowers and Ethel Webber Flowers. She was retired from C.B. Fleet and a charter member of Gethsemane Baptist Church. She was an accomplished pianist and was a wonderful, loving mother and Godly example to all who knew her.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, H. Tommy Flowers and a grandson, Carlie Duck.

Surviving are four children, Darlene Barrett (James), Cynthia Duck (Carlton), Richard B. Baber, Jr. and Rhonda Ramsey (Bill); brother Charles Flowers and sister, Coretha Wilkerson; nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Friday, January 27, 2012 at Gethsemane Baptist Church with the Rev. Carlton Duck officiating. Interment will follow in Fort Hill Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, January 26, 2012 at the church.
