Thomas Mitchell Dowdy Jr.

December 1, 1970 – January 1, 2019
Thomas Mitchell Dowdy, Jr., 48, of Lynchburg, passed away on Tuesday, January 1, 2019 at Lynchburg General Hospital. Butch was born at VBH on December 1, 1970. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Mitchell Dowdy, Sr. and Sue Wilson Dowdy. Butch is survived by and dearly loved by his brothers and sisters, Maria Dowdy Pribble and husband Todd of Lynchburg, Whitney Dowdy and wife Sandra of Bedford, Corky Dowdy and wife Bre of WV and Virginia Dowdy of WV; nieces and nephews, Katie Dowdy, Lily Dowdy, Sophia Jayne Smith, Tyler Dowdy, Nathan Dowdy, Nikolai Pribble, and Spencer Dowdy; and special family, Horizon Behavioral and Lynchburg Salvation Army. A graveside service will be held at 2 pm on Saturday, January 12, 2019 at Rock Pike Baptist Church Cemetery, with Pastor Mike Dodson officiating.
