Obituary of Timothy Clark Carter
Timothy Clark Carter, 71, of Lynchburg departed this life Saturday, April 27,2024 surrounded by those who loved him. He was the son of the late Marion Carter and Fern Keyser Carter. Timothy, born on May 22, 1952, he leaves behind a Legacy of Generosity and unwavering support. Hailing from Indiana, he later found his home in New Orleans, where he dedicated himself to laboring on tugboats before settling in Lynchburg where he discovered the Love of his life, Christine, his Wife. A devoted Family man, Timothy’s love extended to his Children, Grandchildren, and Great Grandchildren. Renowned as a versatile craftsman, he earned a reputation as a master of woodworking, bringing all of his visions to life. Timothy’s passion for the outdoors was evident; whether he was engaged in construction projects, aiding others in their times of need, or finding solace in the tranquility of fishing out on the water. His absence leaves a void in the hearts of all who knew him, but his spirit of kindness and ingenuity will forever resonate in the lives he touched. In addition to his parents, Timothy was preceded in death by his Sisters; Terri Mattke and Patricia Himes. His Brothers; Douglas of St. Petersburg, FL and Steven of Plymouth, IN. Those left to cherish Timothy’s memory include his Loving and Dedicated Wife of 25 years; Christine Carter, his Daughter Dana Lewis and husband J.C. Lewis, Granddaughter Shana Lewis, and Great Granddaughter Rayna Bohon. His Sons; Timothy Jr. and Todd of Plymouth, IN and Troy of Vivay, IN and Cody of Missouri; his brother Edward "Ed" Carter of St. Petersburg, FL, and his 10 Grandchildren. He also leaves behind his Stepmother; Sharon Carter and four Stepsisters of Rochester, IN. He had Many close and beloved Friends who thought the World of him; Doug Pope, Kenneth Goodman, Jake Goodman, and Denny Goodman. Lastly he also leaves behind his beloved two dogs; Bonnie and Buffy. A graveside service for Timothy will be held on Wednesday, May 1, 2024 at Fort Hill Memorial Park Officiated by Pastor Ray Kingrea at 2:00 pm.
