
Born March 1, 1927, in Campbell County, he was a son of the late James Edward Lee Fisher and Mary Tucker Fisher. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Carol Fisher Sr., and Robert Fisher; three sisters, Bessie F. Juare, Alice Fisher, and Emma Pratt.
Mr. Fisher was a United States Army WW II veteran and was retired from Huss Trucking.
Survivors also include his son, David “Pete” Eugene Fisher, of Madison Heights; his step-daughter, Gloria J. Firkin, of Rustburg; a brother, C. Melvin Fisher and wife Phyllis, of Evington, and a sister, Dorothy F. Cocke and husband Earl, of Bedford, 4 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-great-grandchild, other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends from 2-3:00 p.m. Friday, December 24, 2010, at Whitten Timberlake Chapel, prior to the funeral service.
A funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home, on Friday, by the Rev. Carlton Dunn. Interment will follow in Cumbie Memorial Cemetery, with military honors by American Legion Post 16.
