Walter "Bucky" Edward Bass Jr.

Born on September 27, 1943, in Lynchburg, Virginia, he was the son of the late Walter Edward Bass, Sr. and Mazie Lula Bass.

Bucky was the retired owner of Bass Auto and Transmissions. He was a smart man with a natural mechanical ability and was well known for his knowledge and skill. In his free time, he enjoyed auto racing, fishing, and traveling.

He is survived by his loving wife, Barbara Bass; his sister, Ann Cody (Dennis Williams); two nephews, Lou Thornsbury (Cathy) and Terry Thornsbury (Suzanne); his great-nephew, Chris Thornsbury (Aislinn); his great-niece, Krystal Mangrum (Daniel); his great-great-nephew, Derek Thornsbury; and his great-great niece, Abbie Read.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
