

Born in Greenville, Alabama, he was the son of the late Walter Robert Dunnam, Sr. and Clara Belle Willis Dunnam. Mr. Dunnam was a retired computer operator with Norfolk & Western Railroad with forty-years of service and was a member of American Legion Post 16. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a member of Euclid Christian Church.
Left to cherish his memories are his nieces and nephews, Donald and Dolores Roakes of Lynchburg, Wayne and Adelheid Roakes of Lynchburg, and Robert and Elayne Roakes of Alburqueque, New Mexico; his great nieces, and several special friends.
A graveside service with military honors by American Legion Post 16 will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 24, 2014 at Fort Hill Memorial Park with the Rev. Dr. Edward Parrish, III officiating.
