Born August 17, 1957 Wanda, a proud graduate of E.C. Glass High School’s Class of 1975, was a devoted and loving family woman who found her greatest joy in the company of those she cherished. She had a warm and caring spirit, always bringing light and laughter to those around her. Family and friends meant everything to her, and she truly loved spending time with them, whether gathered together for special occasions or simply enjoying the little moments that made life meaningful.
An outdoor enthusiast at heart, Wanda was happiest when surrounded by nature. She found immense joy in driving and riding through the mountains, soaking in the beauty of the scenery and the fresh air. She also had a deep love for the ocean and treasured her time spent at the beach, where she could relax and embrace the peaceful rhythm of the waves. Boating with friends on open waters was another favorite pastime, allowing her to fully immerse herself in the freedom and tranquility that being out on the water provided.
Beyond her love for nature, Wanda had an incredible affection for animals, particularly dogs. They held a special place in her heart, and she shared a deep bond with the pets that became a part of her life over the years. Her kindness extended not only to people but also to the animals she cared for and loved.
Wanda’s warmth, generosity, and adventurous spirit left a lasting impact on everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. Her presence brought joy, comfort, and a sense of belonging to those around her. She will be deeply missed, but her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends, who will forever cherish the love and happiness she brought into their lives
In addition to her parents, Wanda was preceded in passing by her sister, Rose Langford.
Those left to cherish Wanda’s memory include her loving partner of 33 years Alan Johnson; her nephew Michael Langford and his partner Amy and her niece Kristin Wooldridge.
The family will receive friends Saturday, February 1, 2025 from 6 to 8pm at Whitten Timberlake Chapel.
