Born in Lynchburg, May 29, 1946, he was the son of the late Lee Horsley and Dorothy King Horsley. Wayne was a graduate of Holy Cross Catholic School and Lynchburg College. He taught in the Campbell County Schools for a number of years and retired from the hotel industry. He was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church.
He is survived by his nieces and nephews, Gloria Lewis, Mitchell Hubbard, Gary Hubbard, John Hubbard, Anthony Hubbard, Angela Hudson, J.W. Bell and Mark Bell.
He was preceded in death by his nephew, Timothy Hubbard.
A graveside service will be conducted at 12 Noon Monday, November 15, 2021 at Fort Hill Memorial Park.
Whitten Timberlake Chapel is serving the family.
