Billy and I were friends when we were teenagers always enjoyed talking with him He was very smart,witty  and a kind person I pray he is at peace with THE LORD

I WAS FORTUNATE- AND BLESSED- TO HAVE VISITED WITH BILLY ABOUT5 YEARS AGO. I HAD NOT SEEN HIM SINCE I LEFT LYNCHBURG IN 1969. BILLY WAS ONE OF THE ORIGINAL "FAIRVIEW DRUG STORE" BUNCH THAT HUNG AROUND THERE IN THE LATE 1950s / EARLY 1960s.
I NEVER HEARD HIM SAY BAD THINGS- OR BE UNKIND TO ANYONE.

REST IN PEACE, MY FRIEND FROM LONG AGO...

Mr. Wright was a kind-hearted, insightful man. He was not only a fine musician, but a remarkable teacher of life. I am very thankful to have known him.

Billy was one of those people I knew his entire life.  He and I were born only 10 days apart and were friends the first time we met.  We built forts together in the "apple orchard" on Carter Street.  He will be remembered.

I always thought a lot of Billy,being a musician we had lot of o talk about every time we would see each other.I know he's in that heavenly band now.I'll miss my friend

Grew up with Billy in Fairview Heights. Remember his first guitar. He was a multi-talented individual and the world is a little sadder place without him.

The first time I remember encountering Billy - he was walking down Carter Street with a guitar in his hand and a flower behind his ear.Talked to him for a couple of hours two years ago - we were talking about a Beatles Song "In My Life" he loved the song and had played it at Church for someone. Rest in Peace my cousin.

Bill was a good guy. Spent many hours talking to him about music.
