William Paul Honeywell

William Paul Honeywell, 84, of Lynchburg, VA, passed away Sunday, July 19, 2015 at Virginia Baptist Hospital. Twice married, he was the husband of Elizabeth Robertson Honeywell and the late Diane Merrill Honeywell.

Born February 27, 1931 in Scranton, PA, he was the son of the late Lawrence and Burdella Paul Honeywell and was also preceded in death by a brother, Lawrence Raymond Honeywell. Mr. Honeywell was a retired Presbyterian Minister and a member of the Presbytery of the Peaks. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War.

Rev. Honeywell received his Bachelor of Arts Degree from Upsala College in New Jersey, his Masters of Ministry Degree from Union Seminary in New York, NY, and his Doctorate of Ministry Degree from Drew University in New Jersey. He previously served Presbyterian Churches in Glens Falls, NY; Fairview, PA, and new church development in Nashua, NH. He also served as Moderator of Pisgah Presbyterian Church in Goode, VA.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by three children, Ben William Honeywell of Erie, PA, Craig Robert Scott and wife Diane of Midlothian, VA, and Lynda Scott Musante and husband Louis of Olathe, KS and four grandchildren, Laurel Musante, Robert Musante, Isabella Scott, and William Honeywell.

A memorial service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, August 15, 2015 at the Valley View Retirement Center in Lynchburg, VA.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions may be made to a charity of choice.
