Coleen C. Rutherford

Born on May 22, 1952 in Medina, NY, she was the daughter of Emma (Goodwin) Clark and the late George Clark.

Coleen graduated from Lyndonville High School in 1970. She married her loving, supporting, best friend and high school sweet heart Keith L. Rutherford on August 19, 1972. She was first employed with the former Fisher-Price for 10 years and lastly was a letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service, Medina Office for 19 years, retiring in June 2012.

Coleen enjoyed conversation with people on her routes, gardening, sewing, was a avid reader. Her love of musical theater began while supporting her children performing in Lyndonville Central School Musicals and Lake Plains Players Community Theater and was a Shea’s season ticket holder for numerous years. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family.

Besides her mother, she is survived by her husband of 41 years, Keith L. Rutherford, two children, Heather Rutherford of North Carolina, Alan (Kim) Rutherford, two grandchildren, Nikki (Avery) Orange, Ben Renforth, a great- grandson, Talon Orange, all of Georgia, three sisters, Mary Clark of Oakfield, Marcia Clark of Lyndonville, Joyce (Mark) Ackerman of Lockport and several nieces and nephews.

A brother, Rev. Richard Clark predeceases her.

Relatives and friends may call on Wednesday, November 6, 2013 at the Lyndonville United Methodist Church, 102 N. Main St. Lyndonville, NY 14098 from 5-7 PM with a Memorial Service at to follow at 7:00 PM.
