

Marian Dorothy Loke, 86, passed away on November 23, 2013 at the Medina Memorial Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Medina on January 31, 1927. She is the daughter of Andrew and Emma Munzel, step-daughter of Cora Munzel Clark. She married Robert L. Loke in 1949, who remained her life-long love.
Marian was a gracious, nurturing, kind and generous woman who was dedicated to her family. She especially loved gardening, traveling, country music and the Lord. Prior to marriage she worked at Harrison Radiator in Lockport for five years. After she married she raised her two children until they were teenagers before she started working at J.C. Penny in Medina until she and her husband moved to Florida in 1978. She later returned to Lyndonville to enjoy her family after her husband Robert passed away in 1996.
She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, former member of the Faith Lutheran Church in Florida and the Order of the Eastern Star.
Marian was predeceased by her husband Robert L. Loke and her daughter Lynette Loke Frelick (Timothy). She is survived by her son Larry R. Loke (Deborah), grandchildren Cynthia K. Dresser and Anastasia M. Loke (Fiancé’ of Mike Luczak). Sisters Donna Quiett (Fiancé’ of Bob Burgio) and Corrine (Allen) Bell. She is also survived by many other beloved family and friends that she cherished.
Calling hours will be held at Bates & Tuttle, 112 N. Main Street, Lyndonville on Friday, November 29, from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. A Funeral Service will be held Saturday, November 30 at 11:00am at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Rt. 18, Lyndonville.
