

Born on September 2, 1930, in the Town of Yates, NY, he was the son of the late Norman E. and Marjorie (Lynch) Mank.
Brent graduated from L.H.S. in 1949 and in August of that year married the former Shirley Fletcher, together they started and ran the family farm, while raising five children. Besides farming, Brent was known for his snow plowing and backhoe work. At one time he held a Committee Chair for ASCS, Agriculture Stabilization and Conservation Services and in his free time enjoyed hunting, watching westerns and country music.
Brent is survived by his wife of 65 years, Shirley Mank; ,four children, Brent (Ann) Mank, Norman (Mandy) Mank, Deanne (Al) Papp, Wendy (Roger) Thering, all of Lyndonville; 13 grandchildren: Heidi Mank, Andy (Stacey) Mank, Maxwell (Amanda) Mank, Pam (Craig) Wyckoff, Melissa (Gary) Marcizewski, Denise (Norm) McDonald, Stephen (Penny) Papp, Danielle Hagen, Megan (Derek Cammarata) Thering, Rachel Thering, Samantha Burch Nicole (Moe) Marshall and Jessica (Brian) Blanchard; 17 great-grandchildren; two sister-in-laws, Mary Hill of Clearwater, FL; Florence (Gary) Enrenreich of N. Carolina and several nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by a daughter, Brenda Mank and a great-granddaughter, Penelope Ann Mank, two sisters, June Shingleton and Virginia Brozek.
Relatives and friends may call on Tuesday, March 17, 2015, from 2-4 and 7-9 at the Bates & Tuttle Funeral Home, 112 N. Main St. Lyndonville, NY, where a funeral service will be held 11:00 AM on Wednesday. Burial will be in the Lynhaven Cemetery in the spring.
