Vernon W. Krisher Sr.

Born on September 4, 1909 in Indian Falls, NY, he was the son of the late Philip and Fanny (Wyman) Krisher.

On February 9, 1933, Vernon married the former, late Alice E. Retzlaff, together making their home in Niagara Falls before moving their family to the Lyndonville area in 1943, when buying the Krisher Farm.

Vernon loved farming and was a avid outdoorsman and gunsmith and enjoyed building birdhouses.

He was a active member of the Ashwood Wesleyan Church and later at the Yates Baptist Church.

Vernon is survived by his children, Joan (Jack) Thomas of Medina; Vernon (Faye) Krisher Jr. of Alden; Suzanne (Jim) Lorenze of Lyndonville, NY; Carol (Jim) Presher of Valley, GA; Danny (Christine) Krisher of Lyndonville; a son-in-law, Jim Palmer of Monks Corner, S.C. also, many grandchildren, great and great-great grandchildren.

Besides his wife, Vernon is predeceased by two daughters, Marjorie Mapes and Diane Palmer and a special niece, Barbara Scharlau.

Relatives and friends may call on Friday, April 18, 2014, from 4PM-8PM at the Bates & Tuttle Funeral Home, 112 N. Main St. Lyndonville, NY. A funeral service will be on Saturday, 11:00 AM at the Yates Baptist Church, 11365 E. Yates Center Rd. Lyndonville, NY with the Pastor, Rev. Lyell Drake officiating.

Burial will be in the Lynhaven Cemetery.
