Alice Marie Crowley passed away on Monday, January 25, 2016. She left us peacefully at her home resting comfortably in her favorite chair. She was just two days shy of her 86th birthday. Alice was born January 27, 1930 to Agnes and Leonard Fick in Kansas City, MO. She attended Ward High School in Kansas City where she met her lifelong husband, Donald Raymond Crowley. She continued her education at Avila College. Alice and Don were married and raised 5 beautiful children. Alice dedicated her life to her family and was a neighborhood mom to so many. She was a thoughtful and generous woman who enjoyed a good book, watching a full moon rise over the lake, making her awesome meatloaf for her “favorite” son. She was most content when the house was full with family, the freezer was full of fish and the yard was cleared of leaves…those relentless falling leaves! She was a woman of great faith, who dedicated much of her time in service to the church.
Alice was preceded in death by her parents; Leonard John and Agnes Josephine Hueser Fick, husband Donald Crowley and brother Lawrence Fick.
She is survived by her daughter Colleen Brasier and husband Lucian of Plano, son Kevin Crowley and wife Pauline of Salida, CO, daughter Maureen Mellander and husband Paul of Greensboro, NC, son Michael Crowley and wife Robin of Panama City, FL and son Steve Crowley and wife Elizabeth of Dallas, grandchildren; Andrew, Kristen and husband Matt, Rachel, Griffin, Jasmine, Laura, Gabrielle and Kiefer, sister Loretta Fick of Levenworth, KS, brother Robert Fick of Payne Springs, sister Jane Fick of Payne Springs, other loving family members and many more friends..
