Alyssa Morris was born on July 5, 1996 in Mesquite, Texas to parents Dawn Gooch and Barry Morris and entered into eternal rest on February 2, 2019 at the age of 22. Alyssa attended Highland High School grades 8th through 11th and graduated from Cedar Ridge High School. She worked for Murphy Gas Station as a sales clerk. Alyssa loved being with her family, she was an exceptional mother, daughter, sister and friend. Her favorite pastime was cuddling with her son, Grayson. Alyssa enjoyed reading, writing poems and hanging with her friends. She loved being at the lake or beach, binge watching Netflix and making people laugh. Alyssa was a compassionate, loving young lady who could light up any room she walked into. She always put others first with her bright personality. Alyssa would use her struggles in life to help others with challenges. She was always selfless and was ready to put anyone’s happiness above her own. Alyssa was a protector and would stand up for anyone, if she needed to. She was so loyal to her friends and family, always letting them know how much they meant to her. Alyssa’s son was her pride and joy and as she would say, one of her greatest accomplishments. She would try to make people see the good in all things, after everything she had been through. Alyssa was focused on keeping her relationship with God. She was amazing and will be truly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
Alyssa was preceded in death by her mother Dawn Gooch and grandmother Linda Morris.
She is survived by her father Barry Morris of Kemp, son Grayson Mohlke of Jonesboro, AR, sister Katrina Morris of Kaufman, brother Mason Morris of Tuckerman, AR, grandfather Larry S. Morris of Kemp, grandmother Pam Sietz of Jonesboro, AR, grandmother Jenyne Sneed of Cherokee Village, AR and grandmother Robin Rudder of Mesquite, many aunts and uncles, numerous half brothers and sisters, other loving family members and many more friends.
