Anne was born on November 11, 1929 in Lisbon, Ohio and went home to be with her Lord and Savior on October 1, 2019 at the age of 89. She married the love of her life, Knox Tate Jr., on August 30, 1956 and started a family. Anne and Knox were married for 55 wonderful years and were blessed with three beautiful children. The family moved to the Mabank area in 1972 and continued to raise a family.
Anne loved being a mother and was devoted to her family. She was active in the children’s school activities and games. Anne enjoyed cooking, sewing, and was an avid reader. Holidays were one of her passions and she strived to create a memorable holiday experience of family and food for all of those who came. Anne also loved the outdoors; gardening, and home canning. She found joy in being outdoors and watching the natural wonders of the world around her. She especially enjoyed identifying the various butterflies and birds which surrounded her home. She always said she wanted to soar like the birds high in the sky amongst the clouds. Not only was Anne an amazing mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, and great-grandmother; she was also a teacher, friend, mediator, nurse, and all around loving presence to her family. Her warm smile, caring demeanor, and willingness to guide her children in times of need will be greatly missed. Additionally, her memory will live on in those who knew and loved her.
Anne was preceded in death by her father Lawrence Mucci and mother Claire Stebbins, husband Knox Tate, and her sister Sandra Klassen.
She is survived by her sons; Richard Tate of Mabank and David Tate and wife Lisa of Mabank, daughter Angela Tate of Dallas, grandchildren; Destiny Tate, Matt Skinner and wife Casey and Nicole Phillips and husband Jon, great-grandchildren; Macie, Kelsi, Skyler, Braden, Lucas, Logan, Jackson, Waylon and Rhett, and other loving family members and many more lifelong friends.
