Barbara Guinn was born on July 19, 1926 in San Diego, California to parents Frazier Thomas and Maurine Manning and entered into eternal rest on November 26, 2020 at the age of 94. Barbara was a member of the First Baptist Church in Mabank, Texas.
Barbara loved being a part of her community. She was the most vibrant and beautiful woman. She loved every person she met, making everyone feel wanted and included. Barbara was one of those people who looked for the person in the room who didn't feel wanted and she would sit beside them, say something kind and befriend them forever and then that person would be accepted because Miss Barbara was " The Popular Girl". Everyone wanted to be with Miss Barbara.
Barbara served at the Senior Center of Mabank Texas up until the day the center closed at the beginning of the Covid pandemic. She helped in everything. Serving the elderly as they passed through the food line, wiping down the tables, washing dishes and just being a constant friend to all.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Frazier Thomas Manning and Mary Maurine Burgoon; her husband Billy Newell Guinn and sister Betty Ann Lawrence. She is survived by her daughters; Ann Adamson and husband Bill of Kaufman, and Jan Hall and husband Chester of Kemp, grandchildren; Billy Adamson and wife Laura of Chatfield, Tanya Phillips and husband Chris of Warsaw, Kevin Redden and wife Lisa of Athens and Karie Redden and Anthony Murphy of Mabank, great-grandchildren; Ethan, LeaAnn, Brennan, Shelby, Jesse, Amy, Kara, Dalton, Mason, Tyler and Trevor, great-great grandchild Jayton, numerous nieces and nephews, other loving family members and many more lifelong friends.
She was an amazing mother, grandmother, great and great-great grandmother. Barbara will be immensely missed by all who knew and loved her.
