Bernice Spencer was born on December 31, 1931 in Picton, Texas to parents Mims William and Lola (Ivey) Formby and entered into eternal rest on March 8, 2018 at the age of 86. She graduated from Picton High School and shortly after met Earl Spencer. It was love at first sight and they were married on January 13, 1951 in Dallas, Texas. Earl received his draft papers, the day of the wedding and joined the United States Air Force. Bernice was a devout military wife. She was a mother of 6 children and loved her family dearly. Bernice never forgot a birthday and was a cheer mom. She was a wonderful person and loved everyone unconditionally. Bernice was very committed, truthful and outspoken. She had a green thumb and loved being in her flower garden and working in the yard. Bernice also liked shopping at the Dollar Store and she loved receiving gifts from her daughters trips to Canton. She loved getting to go to the beach; but she really loved her husband Earl, her 6 children and all her grandchildren. She was a member of Victory Baptist Church and played the piano. Bernice was also a member of the Women’s Auxiliary. She will be missed tremendously by those who knew and loved her.

Bernice was preceded in death by her parents, son Michael Spencer and grandson Brian Berry, son-in-law Billy Jackson, two sisters and one brother.
