Betty, of Mabank, Texas, passed away on August 10th in Canton Texas. She will always be remembered as a mother to all that knew and loved her. She was born on February 23rd, 1935, in DeRidder Louisiana to Joe Whiddon, and Bessie Mae Gidney. She was a prominent member of the 1st Baptist Church in Gun Barrel City, she was a Grand Matron in the Order of The Eastern Star, and the Chapter President of the Friendship Literacy Club. Her participation in the community leaves a distinct impression on all who knew her.
Betty is survived by her sons, Howard D Moore wife Wanda Canton Tx, Michael L. Moore Bartlesville Oklahoma, Brother Dennis E. Whiddon Sr. Gun Barrel City, Grandchildren; Justin R Alexander wife (Alicia), Gregory K Moore Mabank, Amanda Zacharias Husband (Jeffery) Mabank, and five great grand-children.
She is preceded in death by her loving parents Joseph Britton and Bessie M Gidney Whiddon, Brothers; Calvin LeRoy Whiddon (Buck), LeRay Whiddon (Bugger), Sisters; Lois Mathis, Mabel Mattingly, Ruby DeLano, Alice Ruth Whiddon, Rachel Whiddon, Granddaughter-Chelse Hyre, Daughter-in-Law Patricia, (Trish) Massey, and Sister-in-Law Opal Craft Whiddon
