

Bill Jamison was born July 10, 1944 in Red River County, Texas and died September 6, 2016 at the Mabank Nursing Home. His parents were James L. Jamison and Juanita Jamison of Clarksville, TX., grandparents were Jack and Velma Dawson and Doak and Tillie Jamison of Clarksville. Bill was the former Mabank Auto Mechanics teacher and also taught in Gilmer, TX, Marshall, TX and Warren, Arkansas. He was an insurance agent for Farm Bureau Insurance and received the status of Master Agent. He served as agency manager in Smith, Greg and Upshur counties. Mr. Jamison attended Texas A&M, Texas A&M Commerce; as well as Texas Tech, Pittsburgh State, University of Kansas and Sunset School of Preaching in Lubbock. He ministered to congregations in Gail, Hagansport and Shirley,Texas, Dove Creek, Colorado and McCune, Kansas. In 1969 he married Viarinne Sanders Jamison, his wife for 47 years.
He is survived by his wife, sons; Jamey Jamison of Little Elm, TX, Casey Jamison of Mabank, TX, daughter Jessica Jamison of Arlington, grandsons; Justice Womack of Arlington and Cayson Jamison of Canton, sister Jane Westbrook of Weatherford, TX, many cousins, nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank Caring Hearts Hospice especially: Nurse Kay, Tammy and hospice aide Christina, who was so caring and diligent. Thank you to Mabank Nursing Home nurses and staff who guided us through this difficult time. Thank you to Dr. Koerth and the staff of Lakeland Medical Center for keeping Bill alive for so long.
