Rev. Burley "Burt" Forrest

Burt was born on April 19, 1949 in Grady, Arkansas to parents Clifton and Eve (Moore) Forrest and entered into eternal rest on December 14, 2018 at the age of 69. Burt graduated from Spruce High School in Dallas, Texas. He worked for H & S Construction, as a carpenter, for over 40 years. He was fun, outgoing and enjoyed fishing. Burt loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them, especially his grandchildren. He loved the Lord and served as a preacher for 45 plus years. During this time, Burt has built 5 churches. Burt had been the preacher for Styx New Life Church the past 4 years. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother. Burt will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Burt was preceded in death by his parents, first wife Glenda Sue Forrest, daughter Mary Beatrice Forrest, great-grandchildren; Kacelynn Davi Roberts.

He is survived by his wife Brenda Forrest of Kemp, son William Forrest and wife Helen of Kemp, sister Sue Ann Pergeson and husband Holman of Gun Barrel City, 19 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, other loving family members and many more lifelong friends.
