Mr. Byron Lee Barnes was born In Dallas TX, on February 15th 1948 to parents Elmer Lee Barnes and Lillie Eve Patton. He entered into eternal rest on April 3rd 2021. Byron was very friendly to everyone he met. He was known as Bubba Lee to family and friends. He enjoyed working in his yard, watching many cooking shows, spent his time playing golf and loved woodworking. He was a great mechanic, there was nothing he couldn’t fix. Byron was also a very active member of his community and was a member of the American Legion post 310. He re-married the love of his life Mary Day on February 14th 2007 in Fairfield, TX they spent many wonderful years together. He was preceded in death by his parents Elmer Barnes and Lillie Barnes, Sister Doris Akins, Daughter Johanna Barnes, Brother Dana Barnes. He survived by his loving wife Mary Day of Fairfield TX, His daughter Wanda Barnes Arterburn and Husband Samuel Arterburn of Fairfield TX, Daughter Lisa Barnes Hall and husband Jason Hall of Teauge TX, his sister Janie Banks of Mabank TX. He leaves behind 6 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews.
