Calvin was born on July 5, 1939 in Delhi, LA to parents Charles Moses and Ruby Blackledge Waltman and entered into eternal rest on May 19, 2016 at the age of 76. Calvin was known as “Pop” to his family and friends. He served in The United States Army as a Cpl. from 1962-1964. Calvin loved playing golf and wood working. He enjoyed flying his single engine aircraft and was a pilot for over 40 years. Calvin worked 30 plus years and retired from GTE.; where he was a telecommunication engineer. He attended Main St. Pentecostal Church in Gun Barrel City. Calvin was a loving and kind man who will be tremendously missed by all who knew and loved him.
Calvin was preceded in death by parents, grandson Nathan Colby Waltman, 13 brothers and sisters.
He is survived by his son Calvin Waltman Jr. and wife Becky of Kemp, daughter Donna Sudbay and husband Bob of Irving, son Jerry Waltman of Irving, son James Waltman and wife Sue of Owasso, OK, daughter Rhonda Kieffer of Shawnee, OK and daughter Pam Kendrick of Shawnee, OK, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, a host of extended family and friends.
