I married my husband William Edward Bigley on March 08, 1968. We shared 39 great years together before I lost him on August 25, 2007. We had two boys, David and Shawn; they were the best thing that happened for my husband and me.
I worked for the Army and Air Force Exchange Service in Dallas, Texas. I retires from there on December 31, 2003 after 23 years of service. We moved from Arlington, Texas after 25 plus years to Tool, Texas in May 2004.
When I lost my husband, I thought what am I going to do. I was totally lost because he was my life as well as my two boys were.
I joined the Community Food Pantry in Tool around April of 2011 as a volunteer and it was a lifesaver for me.
I went on to become the Vice President in 2013 at the Community Food Pantry, and I was asked to be the site manager for the SNAP (food stamps) program at the pantry. I was also a buyer for the pantry.
I lost my youngest son Shawn on October 14, 2014. It was very hard for me again with this lose but with the help of my older son, David, daughter-in-law Jennifer, two granddaughters; Katelyn and Mason, and many friends from the pantry as well as members and friends from Providence Baptist Church. I managed once again to move forward with my life.
