Catharine Inez Wright

Cathy went home to the Lord on April 19, 2023 in Tyler, Texas. She was born on May 10, 1957 in Dallas, Texas to Arthur Lee Barber Jr. and Annie Lou Armstrong Barber.

She grew up in Dallas and graduated from Richardson High School, Class of 1975. After high school, she worked primarily for various financial firms, including Rauscher Pierce, Robert Baird and Edward Jones. She also sang with the Texas Singing Women for a number of years, where she made wonderful lifelong friends.

Cathy is preceded in death by her parents, Arthur Barber Jr. and Annie Lou Barber; grandparents, Arthur Lee Barber, Inez Barber, Earl Armstrong and Catharine Armstrong; uncle, Paul Barber.

She is survived by husband, Nelson Wright; brother Steve Barber and wife, Sherri; sister Connie Conaway; nieces and nephews, Judson Conaway, Megan Winters, Caroline Barber and Ben Barber; great nieces and nephews, Derek and Natalie Conaway, Matthew and Hannah Winters; many beloved aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. She was loved by all she knew, and she will be truly missed.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers that you donate to Cathy's favorite charity, Susan G. Komen for the Cure foundation.
