

Charles Phelps Andrews, 85, of Mabank, Texas, passed away Wednesday, September 9, 2026. He was the beloved husband of Colleen Frances Chambless Andrews. Charles and Colleen were married for 63 years and 9 months.
Born on January 2, 1941, in Lawton, Oklahoma, Charles was the son of the late Josephus Green Andrews Jr. and the late Florence Crandall Andrews. He was the first-born child in Lawton and Comanche County that year. He was preceded in death by his brother, Ross Andrews, and sister-in-law, Glenda Andrews.
Charles enjoyed visiting the many historical sites throughout the United States. His favorite state was Colorado, where he loved fishing for trout and four-wheeling along the many scenic trails.
He was a devoted member of Prairieville Baptist Church.
Along with his wife, Charles is survived by his sons, Jason Andrews and wife Christine, and Mark Andrews; grandchildren Ben Zimmerman and wife Samantha, Seth Andrews and wife Sydney, Wyatt Andrews and wife Lauren, Grace Andrews, and Isiah Clark; and great-grandchildren Isla, Cora, and Halle Zimmerman, Leo and Grayson Andrews, and Charlotte Andrews.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, October 3, 2026, at 11 a.m. at Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral Home in Mabank, Texas.
