

Charles “Harold” Deering was born on July 1, 1936 in Reed Oklahoma to Levi Jackson Deering and Julia Mae Nesmith Deering. After a lengthy battle with Parkinson’s disease, Harold was welcomed in Heaven after peacefully passing away on July 15, 2014 at the age of 78. Harold grew up in Pampa, Texas and served as a medic in the US Air Force from 1954-1958 and was recommisioned from 1961-1962. Harold married Martha Jean McFadden on August 14, 1958 in Pampa, and together they have 5 children, 14 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Harold began his career in the construction business an operators engineer for Cabot Corporation and spent the majority of his career as a district manager for Harnishfeger Corporation selling heavy construction equipment. Harold loved to hunt, fish, play cards, dominoes, tell jokes and attend anything that his grandchildren were involved in. Harold is survived by his wife, Jean of Rockwall Texas, daughter Shaurie, and grandchildren Bailey and Reese of Rockwall Texas, son Dayne, wife Shana and grandchildren Ashley, Heather, Nathan and Timmy of Haslett Texas, and great granddaughters Lexi and Sadie, son Shayne, wife Nancy and granddaughter Ashley of Mabank Texas, daughter Shelly and grandchildren Brett and Kylie of McKinney Texas, son Chad, wife Adrianna, grandson’s Lucian and John of McKinney Texas and grandchildren Britney, Keegan and Tate of Marble Falls Texas. Harold was preceded in death by his father Levi Jackson, mother Julie Mae, sister’s Juanita Mae and Wanda, and brother Glendon. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 Sunday, July 20, 2014 at Eubanks of Cedar Creek Funeral Home, 601 S. 3rd Street, Mabank, TX 75147. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in honor of Harold be made to the National Parkinson’s Foundation.
