Charles Joseph Flowers Jr. was born on July 23, 1935 to parents Charlie Joseph and Gladys Marie Flowers. He entered into eternal rest on September 13, 2021. Charles was a devoted husband, dedicated father, doting grandfather and loving son. He met and married the love of his life, his beloved wife Christina Flowers in 1967 and they began their lives together, raising a beautiful family. Charles is a US Navy Veteran, who served his country honorably. After his return to civilian life he worked for Southwestern Bell for 35 years and retired from his position as Switch Line Manager in 1990. Charles was also a musician, he enjoyed playing guitar and was lead singer of his band, Chuck and The 49ers. He was also a Golden Gloves boxer in his younger days. Charles was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Marshall, Texas and Payne Springs United Methodist Church. He truly enjoyed his time on his farm in Wills Point, working cows and taking care of the land until they moved to Mabank in 2005. Charles was a kind and loving man and always made sure his family was well cared for and knew that he loved them. He was well loved and will truly be missed.
Charles is preceded in death by parents, Charlie and Gladys Flowers of Marshall, Texas. He is survived by wife, Christina Flowers; children, Eugene Flowers and Karen Cheam, Debbie Cameron and husband Robert, Patricia Jandrew, Donna Teague and Terry Saad; grandchildren; Taylor, Gena and Jesse Flowers, Justin Jandrew and wife Dusty, Adam Jandrew and wife Nikki, Logan Jandrew and wife Ashli, Alex Rusky, Nicholas Yarbrough, Presley Teague; great grandchildren, Avrey, Holden, McKenna Jaedyn, Chandler, Lexi, Broty, Cooper, Delaney, Jax and Kylie. Charles also leaves behind many other loved ones and lifelongfriends.
