

Charlie was born on April 17, 1946 in Dallas, TX to parents Charlie Harlan Lucas and Jimmie Nannette Hayes and entered into eternal rest on July 26, 2015 at the age of 69. Charlie attended Wilmer Hutchins Schools. He then married Julia and they had four beautiful children. Charlie loved going deer hunting with his children and fishing on Cedar Creek Lake with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was there for the birth of all his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Charlie was an honest man and a hard worker. He was the owner and operator of Mechanics Friction Products. Charlie was a big fan of Tony Stewart and Bill Elliott. He drove modified cars for over 30 years and was a top driver in Texas; winning numerous race track championships. Charlie was known for his Labor Day parties. He and Julia had been married for 51 years and he loved her cooking. Charlie was a Baptist by faith and was a member of North Wilmer Baptist Church. He was a very loving and caring man who will be missed tremendously by those who knew and loved him. Charlie was preceded in death by his parents and mother-in-law Rita Maxwell. He is survived by his loving wife Julia of Payne Springs, son Rickey Lucas and wife Danna of Payne Springs, son Randy Lucas of Eustace , son Chris Miller of Midlothian, daughter Karla Lucas of Payne Springs, grandchildren; Jake Lucas, Tuff Lucas, Rowdy Lucas and Destiny Lucas, great-grandchildren; Rylie, Karter and one on the way, sister Peggy Smith and husband Wayne of Waxahachie, brother Lonnie Lucas of Waxahachie, other loving family members and many more friends.
