Cheryl unexpectedly entered her Heavenly home at UT Health Hospital in Tyler, TX, on May 19, 2019, after suffering an aortic aneurysm. She was laughing and enjoying life to the fullest when she went into cardiac arrest. For those that knew her best, she was totally in her element!
Regina Cheryl (Young) Marion was born in Athens, TX, on December 13, 1945, to Horace and Joyce (Graham) Young. At 14 months of age she became the beloved daughter of the late John Brazle Clower, whom she referred to as "Daddy" and he forever shaped her life.
Cheryl had great faith and believed everything happened according to God's plan. She was baptized March 29, 1961, at the First Baptist Church in Eustace, TX. She attended all 12 years of school at Eustace making lifetime friends she always cherished. After graduating she attended Henderson County Junior College where she met the love of her life, Gary Don Marion, of Edgewood. They married on August 21, 1965, which led to her first trip out of Texas to join Gary in California while he was serving in the U.S. Army.
Afterwards, they settled in Irving, TX, and their happiness was completed with the arrival of their long awaited son, Marc Scott Marion in 1973. Cheryl often said that her best accomplishment in life was her son Marc, he was her pride and joy. In 1976 the family moved to Kaufman, TX, where they raised Marc and became the owners of Kaufman County Real Estate Services and Marion Custom Homes. Coming full circle, they moved back to Cheryl's hometown of Eustace in 1995. Cheryl and Marc were heartbroken to lose Gary to a sudden heart attack on February 10, 2010. Cheryl lived the remainder of her life at their family ranch, which she cherished. The ranch provided Cheryl great pleasure and comfort for the views she had of the land. She loved trees, birds and nature including gazing at the stars from above, which she often said "I have the best seat in the house".
Cheryl was preceded in death by her beloved husband Gary; mother, Joyce McFall; sister Johnna Clower Cravey; brothers; Colin Kelly Clower and David Horace Young; niece Tonya Ray Potts and nephews; Clinton Cravey and Kolin Dyer, many other's including grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, in-laws; Aulton and Clearcy Marion and many friends.
