Christina Maria Flowers

Christina Maria Flowers, 85, was born on July 24, 1941, in Junction, Texas, and passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, in Terrell, Texas. She will forever be remembered as a loving mother, devoted wife, beloved Memaw, cherished friend, and doting sister and Tia. She was adored by all who knew her. Her vibrant personality was her trademark, and she loved people.

Christina was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Charles Joseph Flowers, Jr.; her parents, Maria del Refugia Torrez and Casimiro Torrez; her maternal grandparents, Margarita and Tomas Rodriguez of Lampasas, Texas; five brothers and two sisters.

She is survived by her four children: Eugene Flowers and wife, Karen Cheam; Debbie Cameron and husband, Robert; Patricia Jandrew; and Donna Saad and husband, Terry. Her grandchildren include Taylor Flowers and wife, Hattie Smith Flowers; Gena and Jesse Flowers; Justin Jandrew and wife, Dusty; Adam Jandrew and wife, Nikki; Logan Jandrew and wife, Ashli; Alex Rusky; Nicholas Yarbrough; and Presley Teague. She also leaves behind eleven great-grandchildren: Avrey, Holden, Makenna, Jaedyn, Chandler, Lexi, Broty, Cooper, Delaney, Kylie, and Jax as well as three brothers and two sisters.

Christina grew up in Lampasas, Texas, and then moved to Dallas in the early ’60s, where she met the love of her life, Charles Flowers, whom she married in June of 1967. She worked at Royal Optical in Dallas for several years and then enjoyed being a stay-at-home mom after her youngest child was born. Once all her children were grown, she went back to her customer service roots and worked as the Food Service Supervisor at Crestwood Nursing Home in Wills Point, TX and later at the Corningware Store and Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory in Terrell, Texas. She thrived in these roles because they allowed her to engage in her favorite activities — meeting new people, and spreading joy through conversation, kindness, and service.

She and Charles spent many years residing in Terrell, Texas, followed by almost 25 years in Wills Point, Texas. They then settled in Mabank, Texas, and enjoyed a wonderful retirement, where they made many new friends and became part of the leadership of the 49ers Seniors Club. They enjoyed spending time together at home, playing dominoes with friends, dancing together at the 49ers Club, and spoiling their grandkids and great-grandkids. Their family finds comfort in knowing that they are together again in Heaven.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2026 at 1:00 PM at Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral Home Chapel (601 S. 3rd Street, Mabank, TX 75147). A private burial ceremony will take place afterward.
