Danny was born on June 20, 1947 in Hale Center, TX to parents Barry and Betty (Simmons) Rice and entered into eternal rest on August 8, 2014 at the age of 67. Danny served in The United States Army and was a Vietnam Veteran. He owned and operated Seven Points Sand and Gravel and retired in 2006. Danny was a life member of VFW Post 15045. He was a loving and caring man who will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
Danny was preceded in death by his parents and brother Gary Don Rice.
He is survived by his sons; Donald Rice of Seven Points and Lawrance Rice and wife Leslie of Seven Points, grandchildren; Zack, Bryce, Braxton, Devyn, Dylan and Logan, sisters; Evelyn Loyd and husband Bob of Zephyr, Cindy Bradshaw of Zephyr and Jackie Rice of Ft. Worth, brother James Rice and wife Lola of Hico, half brother Chad Avery and wife Eva of Zephyr, step-sister Deena Wilson and husband John of Grapevine, step-brother Charlie Avery and wife Barbara of Glen Rose, other loving family members and many more friends.
