Mrs. Darlene Carder

Darlene was born on June 19, 1952 in Dallas, Texas to parents A.J. “Buck” and Mary Elizabeth (Carroll) Wells and entered into eternal rest on January 25, 2019 at the age of 66. Darlene graduated from McArthur High School in Irving, Texas. She married Jackie Carder in Dallas, Texas in August of 1972. Darlene worked at Lakeland Hospital in Athens for 25 years. She was light hearted, but stubborn. Darlene kept a few friends and was always by Jackie’s side. She was quiet and reserved most of the time. Darlene loved watching the races, and you better not have called her during them. She enjoyed going to Las Vegas and playing the slots. Darlene also enjoyed going with Jackie to watch chicken fights and playing bingo. She was an amazing wife, sister and aunt who will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Darlene was preceded in death by her mother Mary Elizabeth Lewis, her father A.J. “Buck” Wells, and brother Bobby Lynn Wells.

She is survived by her husband Jackie Carder of Athens, brother Alvin Lee Wells of Athens, sister Mary LaQueta Wright of Haines City, FL, brother Ronald J. Wells and wife Linda Louise of Houston, nephew A.W. “Joey” Lindley of Dallas, niece Misty Leah Lindley and Chris Rochell of Seagoville, niece Mary Elizabeth Colbert and husband Shonn of Dallas, niece Samantha Evon Wells and Jeremy Wylie of Houston, other loving family members and many more lifelong friends.
