David Millhollon, 68, passed from his earthly life on November 1, 2023 in Tyler, Texas. David was born on July 27, 1955 in Dallas, Texas. He grew up and attended school in Grand Prairie, Texas. He and his wife moved to Gun Barrel City, Texas in 1984, where he raised his family and lived the remainder of his life.
David worked as a pipe-fitter and welder as a young man and later as a mechanic. He was an ardent outdoorsman who loved fishing and hunting. His favorite way to spend the day was fishing on Cedar Creek Lake or in his deer blind in the Oachita Mountains of Western Arkansas. In his later years, he enjoyed cruising and spent many mornings watching the sunrise over the ocean from his cruise cabin balcony. More than anything else, David loved spending time with his family. He thought that he was the only one who knew how to properly cook on an outdoor grill, and he spent many Saturdays trying to prove that to us. David was a long-time fan of the Dallas Cowboys and seldom missed a game on TV. We could hear his whooping and hollering over the entire house when they played. Oh, how we will miss hearing that!
David was preceded in death by his parents Elton Ray and Willie Fay Kelley Millhollon; sister Donna Faye Millhollon.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years Connie Millhollon; daughter Shannon Millhollon and partner Chris Um'Rani; daughter Heather Harris and husband Dominique Harris; his grandson Kiran Millhollon and many other loving family members.
A Celebration of Life for David will be held Saturday, November 18, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral Home, 601 South 3rd Street, Mabank, Texas 75147.
