Debra Lee Allen Franques was born on February 23, 1968, on a snowy day in Texas to Charles Allen and Susan Dawdy Allen. She passed away on Friday, November 15, 2024, at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas at the age of 56.
She was a lead pharmacy technician at Eckerd’s Pharmacy and then CVS for 25+ years and enjoyed her customers and work family.
She was a kind, loving person who loved her family immensely. Her grandbabies were her life.
She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, and a cousin.
She is survived by her husband, Raphael Franques of Gun Barrel City; daughter Brittney Allen Cates of Gun Barrel City; sister Dayna Browning; brother Douglas Allen; son-in-law Robert Cates of Mabank; sister Darla Smith and husband Mac of Seven Points; two grandchildren Ethan and Aiden Cates, who were the love of her life; nieces Candi, Layci, Whittney, and Andrea; nephews Joshua, Jeremy, and Chris; and numerous great nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
