Dennis Paul Heddin

Dennis was born on November 14, 1957, in Van Zandt County, Texas, to Haskel Isaiah “Hap” Heddin and Oma Eliza Ethridge Heddin. He made his home in Canton, Texas, where he built a life surrounded by family and those he loved.

Dennis was a father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and uncle whose family grew across generations. His memory will live on through his daughters, grandchildren, great-granddaughter, siblings, nieces and nephews, and the many lives connected to his own.

He is survived by his oldest daughter, Paula Heddin-Salinas, and granddaughter, Florina Dellray Salinas.

He is also survived by his middle daughter, Misty Collier, and her husband, Marc Collier; grandson, Benji Collier; granddaughter, Jaylyn McWhorter, and her future husband, Collin Campuzano; and great-granddaughter, Emerson Mae.

Dennis is further survived by his youngest daughter, Casey Dukes, and her husband, David Dukes; granddaughter, Ellie Dittman; and grandsons, Jason Dukes and Liam.

He is also survived by his siblings, Roger Heddin and Patsy Hernandez, both of Canton, Texas, along with their children and families.

Dennis was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Cindy Dell Heddin of Canton, Texas; his parents, Haskel Isaiah “Hap” Heddin and Oma Eliza Ethridge Heddin; and his cousin, Ricky Browning of Mesquite, Texas.

Dennis leaves behind a family spanning three generations who will carry his memory forward. Though his time with them has come to an end, the stories, memories, and moments shared with him will remain a lasting part of the family he leaves behind.

May his memory live on through the generations of his family and all who knew and loved him.

Visitation will be held at Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral Home, 601 South 3rd Street, Mabank, Texas 75147, on August 29, 2026, 10:00 am, followed by the Funeral Service at the same location 11:00 am.

A Committal Service will take place at Elm Grove Cemetery, 979 County Road 2708, Mabank, Texas 75147, on August 29, 2026.
