

Dennis Lee McClung, age 68, of Kemp, Texas passed away on Wednesday, March 9, 2022. Dennis was born at the Methodist Hospital in Dallas, TX. October 20, 1953; to parents, John D. Ford and Frances L. Palmer. He attended Irving High School, spent two years with the Maryland Correspondence, following another two years at the Eastfield College. This proud Army Veteran served his country from 1969 to 1973. From the time Dennis put down his uniform until 2015, he diligently worked in the printing industry for a total of 42 years. Christian by faith, Dennis served as a missionary in Kenya; he helped rebuild homes in Honduras; and volunteered on a demolition trip in El Salvador. He courageously helped the Texas Baptist Men on their missionary and disaster relief trips, during Hurricane Harvey in 2017; Hurricane Arlene in 1993; Hurricane Rosa in 1994; and Hurricane Dean in 1995. Dennis and Tammy became members of the First Baptist Church in Eustace in 1995, soon after he became the Deacon of the church on February 21, 1999. Dennis was a selfless and doting husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who will be truly missed by all of those he touched in his lifetime.
He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Tammy McClung; sister, Kaye Smith of Decatur, TX.; children, Bart McClung and wife Christina, Chris McClung, Jessica McClung and Tony, Phillip Binkley and wife Susan, Harlan Binkley and wife Amanda; 19 grandchildren and great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Dennis is preceded in death by his parents, John D. Ford and Frances Ford; sister, Donna Faye Irvin, and step son Clint Binkley.
