Donald Richard Owen was born in Dallas, Texas on the 23rd of June 1930 to Herbert D. and Teenia Owen. Don was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, A.J. Owen and Herbert D. Owen Jr. Don was a Christian by faith. He served in the US Army in Korea. Don was a member of the Irving Masonic Lodge #1210 and a Scottish Rite Mason, since 1957. He was an electrical contractor in the Metroplex for many years. Don is survived by his wife Terry M. Owen, his five sons and three daughters; Jim Owen and wife Liz, Rickie Bradshaw and wife Jane, Bart Bradshaw and wife Beth, Kirby Bradshaw, Troy Bradshaw and wife Jill, Teresa Farish and husband Mark, Barbie Bayless and husband Tim, Donna Boehler and husband Scott; sister LaBarbara Carey and husband G.A. Don also leaves behind several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends. Don was blessed to meet the very newest addition to his beautiful family before he was called home. His gift from Heaven and name sake Owen Shaw, who was born on August 9, 2020 and traveled all the way from Florida to Texas to make his introductions. Don was an amazing man who was well loved and he will be truly missed. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the amazing staff at Caring Hearts Hospice for their compassion, love and care during this difficult time.

Gone from our sight but never from our hearts. Don did a great service to his country as well as his community thru out his life and will be missed by many because of his giving nature & his love for all. We are all better for having known him and that is the mark of a truly great man.
